I grew up in Texas playing multiple sports, but baseball was my first love. I excelled as a pitcher and shortstop, and as a leadoff hitter playing through high school in 2002. After graduating, l had multiple offers to play baseball at the collegiate level, but instead chose to enlist in the military. While serving, I had the opportunity to coach youth baseball and basketball beginning in 2004. The chance to positively impact young children while their mothers or fathers were deployed overseas serving our country ignited a fire within me to be a difference maker for our future generations through coaching youth sports. For nearly 20 years, I've had the honor and privilege of coaching youth basketball, baseball and softball, where I specialize in pitching, fielding and hitting mechanics.

My coaching philosophy is based on foundational characteristics for a successful life on and off the field. It begins with integrity, attitude, effort, and "coachability." Coachability is a player's mindset of setting aside their ego and accepting instruction and feedback to drive their growth as a player, teammate, and human being.

I believe in positive reinforcement. When a player makes a mistake, they know it. Rather than piling onto the mistake, we work together to move on to the next play, we learn from the mistake, and then together we work to implement the appropriate corrections. We play to win or learn.

I will always communicate openly and honestly with my players. I encourage players to communicate and ask questions, and give them a voice and ownership in their development. My goal is to make them better people and confident leaders through softball.

Note: Additional Assistant Coaches will be on-hand to help facilitate practices and games. Special Guest hitting, fielding, and pitching instructors may be utilized throughout the season.
